Notes

  1. Please arrange a substitute if you cannot attend.
  2. Ensure adequate ventilation in summer and fall; leave some windows open after Mass.
  3. After Mass, the head usher should empty the collection basket into the bag (in the Sacristy).  Ushers should walk through the pews for items left behind.
  4. Please wear appropriate dress.
  5. You have an opportunity to greet people four times during Mass.  When people come to Mass and when they leave, at communion time, and when gifts are taken up.  For some people this is the only time that they may have someone recognize them, talk to them or make them feel welcome.

Note: At the front entrance there should be one or two persons at the lower level greeting people when they come in the door.

Thank You for Being Ushers!
